BIG EASTER EGG HUNT at Westwood Park-----Thank you Parks and Recreation for the items to make our egg hunt fun.

Our Easter Egg Hunt was a great success---CHECK OUT THE PICTURES---The easter Bunny shows up----Deputy Rawson practices egg hunting before we began----see the tables with all 80 gifts we gave away.

MARCH 10TH---NATIONAL CLEANUP

We will be cleaning 34th St N W from Ave G to Havendale.

we will meet in the rear of Inwood Baptist Church at 9 am .The county will furnish all we need to use.

PROJECT EAGLE---We had a large group of kids from Westwood middle School that showed up.they cleaned up Lake shipp and as a rewared they were feed lunch from Texas cattle company.We also had a large group of adults along with Scout troops that cleaned.It is always nice to see a group working together to have a clean county.

BELOW ARE SOME OF THE PROJECTS THAT OUR VOLUNTEERS ARE WORKING ON.FEEL FREE TO CALL KATHY IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO HELP.

1329 33rd St NW.Coach Garrett and the football and basketball guys are working on this house.Kathys son lonnie has been helping with the wood replacement.The team will start painting on Wed.27th.We have found someone to do the blocks.

1037 30th St NW---Angie,Austin,Kyle,John and Macho are cleaning up the backyard.This was a jungle,but they got it under control.

At a house on 40th st N W also is waiting to be painted----we need volunteers.

The new Church on 37th St.and Ave M NW is looking very Good.They will be opening soon.Pictures will be in soon for the site.

Our kids from the community came out along with our officers and cleaned the park.They pulled weeds,spread a ton of mulch,took a break for pictures.In return our community officers received Tampa Bay Buccaneer tickets.Next time we hope to do tickets for somewhere else.

It is now Summer---2007---We will be doing projects along with our community Sheriff" Deputy and as a reward I will pay for them to take you an outing.Contact Kathy---299-0170---if you want to make our community a better place

Upcoming Events

The last Saturday of each month we meet at westwood park on 36th st n w at 9am and work in the plants weeding,watering,and planting new things.it is over at 11am.

WE REALLY NEED HELP TO PLANT ABOUT 40 SMALL PLANTS ALONG OUR BACK FENCE.I AM WILLING TO COME ANY DAY,MORNING OR EVENING TO PLANT THESE.The plants were grown by the Polk Co.Sheriffs camp group.

Community meetings second Tuesday of each month at the Polk County Sheriffs Substation on Ave G N.W. Winter Haven Florida at 7:30 P.M. everyone is welcome and Best of all it is Free.

We had a very good time at our Picnic.The kids were given school treat bags.It had school supplies in it and a toy or game .
