Kathy started coming to the meetings in 1999.she was always helping with projects that Laurie (President then) was doing.She was elected Vice President in 2003.Since then her health has declined,due to not being able to walk,but that hasn't stopped her.Near the end of 2005 ,Laurie had to resign due to her work schedule so kathy ran the meetings til in December,she was voted in as President.She is now in a wheelchair but keeps going.She really wants our community to be a safe and nice area.She works along side with the sheriffs dept,neighbhorood services and the parks and recreations.She has been elected to sit on the Presidents Alliance---which is where a group of members try to help associations to improve their communities.She is hoping to get a lot of new members in our association and volunteers to help with the projects she has going.She has received 2----$5000.00 Grants to improve the community and is already planning next years grant projects.So her motto is------keep moving and doing things cause the old saying is :;if you don't use it you are gonna lose it.

   Well I have always worked and was never involved in community events.SInce I have been disable I have had to slow down and take time to look at the world.Now she has seen what it is like to be needing help and can't find it unless a price is attached.Cleaning up for someone that can't and see tears in their eyes when they say thank you  is all she needs now.
