Welcome to the Inwood Community Association. We are a non profit organization. We help the elderly,disabled
and children of our community. We have adopted the a community park (Westwood Park) Located on 36th Street
and Ave J N.W.The associated works with the polk county sheriffs department also.We wash, paint and repair houses for
the elderly and clean and mow yards.We also have out of school programs for children.A lot of our work is done by volunteers
of our community .Its not fun when people come to our meetings and complain about a problem they are having and then never
come back.I ask for an hour of everyones time.We want to have a DRUG FREE Community and the only way to do it is to stay
involved with us as a group.Our Police Officers can only help us if we help them.We are their eyes and ears.If you have an
issue that makes you feel uncomfortable to discuss in open,feel free to stay after and talk to us.If you suspect a drug house
try and get tag numbers and bring them to our meetings.

We try and help, the elderly,low income and the children. Every donation you give helps to make the world a better
place.

THE SUMMER OF 2005.Above is a picture of Kathy and Her Husband Wayne.He passed away on Oct.22nd 2007.He was a big help
in getting this park off to a great start.He will be missed by a lot of Kids and Families.We all have important values and
ideas, things we care about and want to share. Sometimes we feel our ideas can even change the world, and we want to let other
people know how they can join in and make all our lives better.This front page is the beginning of our web-site and these
are the people that made it happen.I will always leave them on it.
This site will present our organization's cause or ideas to the world. As communicating isn't always easy, we'll try
to include photos and images that convey our message (remember, a well-chosen picture is a great way to get a point across).
We'll also include specific information about our organization and its members, so no one forgets the people behind the pictures.

We are here to make a safe and friendly community. We are looking for new members that can help us clean
the park and do various jobs for the disabled and sick. We are partners with the Polk County Sheriffs office and
Parks and Recreations and Neighborhood Partnerships Office.Together we are all working hard for a Better Community.
We are trying to get a community center for Inwood and we are in the 2 year of planning and it may be up
to three more years and we will Then have a place for our group meetings and can rent out the room for weddings,graduations
and more. We have to run the center all on donated hours. We need your help with all the park cleaning and painting elderly
peoples homes.We received 2 Grants from the county to help with all the things we are doing. We want to thank you for visting
our new site.Let's change the GRANT"S---we just got $10,000.00 more from County Grant's---5,000 for Westwood Park
and 5,000 for Community.We will be having a BIG GRANT PARTY sometime in August
